Unfair Credit Agreements

Creditors have a legal obligation to treat customers fairly when they lend money. However, would you know if you'd signed a credit agreement that contains breaches and flaws in respect to the consumer credit act?

Our claims management associates can find out if you're paying back a loan, credit card or HP agreement that's unfair in any way.

If your agreement is unfair, this could render your entire contract unenforceable, and we push to recover ALL PREVIOUS PAYMENTS that you've paid towards the loan or credit card.

  • The solicitors AUDIT your agreements and look for breaches / areas of unfairness
  • Once flaws are identified we act on your behalf to obtain compensation
  • If they are unenforceable we aim to recover all payments made plus interest

We can "Audit" all Credit Agreements over £1,000 including:

  • Credit cards and store cards
  • Personal loans / Secured loans
  • Hire purchase
  • Consolidation loans
  • Car loans / finance

The agreement must have had a balance of at least £1,000 and taken out before April 2007.

Examples of what could make your credit agreement unfair and unenforceable:

Are you paying too much interest?

Has the interest you are paying been calculated properly?

Is your "Credit Agreement" compliant with the Consumer Credit Act?

You may not know the answer to the above and that is why our Solicitors "Audit" your agreements to provide you with the answer.

It doesn't matter if you think you may have lost or mis-placed documents because we will request original copies from your lender or credit card provider for you.

The credit agreement must have been taken out before April 2007 for you to claim.

ANYBODY can make a claim, you DON'T have to be struggling with your debts to take advantage of our debt cancellation service.

How can UK Money Solutions do this?

The Consumer Credit Act of 1974 was brought about to protect UK Consumers, however the terms that allowed the consumer protection were not clear and therefore for decades the Credit Industry was allowed free reign with little resistance or challenge from Consumers.

These unclear terms of protection have now been changed as a result of the Consumer Credit Act of 2006 which makes clear to all parties that Consumers can challenge a Credit Agreement if they believe it to be Unfair.

UK Money Solutions in partnership with our Solicitors can check, audit or review your agreements and confirm if they are fair or unenforecable.

If you believe you may have taken up an "Unfair Credit Agreement" we will handle the whole process for you including if needed taking your Creditor all the way to Court.
